The Sony F3 boasts a super 35mm CMOS sensor producing full 1920 x 1080p HD images with an efficient workflow recording onboard to Sony SxS cards in the reliable and efficient Sony XD CAM HD codec.
The Sony F3 also allows for the use of external recorders to record 10 bit HDSDI signals with 4:2:2 colour spacing. The F3 camera is capable of providing an uncompressed HDSDI dual link S-Log 4:4:4 RGB signal for high end feature and commercial productions. The Sony F3 has a native PL lens mount, providing compatibility with some of the finest Cine Lenses available from Cooke, Zeiss, ARRI, Angenieux and Fujinon making it the ideal tool to fit in with existing industry accessories, standards and working practices. As well as the Native PL mount the Sony F3 can also accept 35mm still lenses from which opens up a world of possibilities for productions working on a tighter budget.
